"Rod Stewart! Oh, let me get rid of this hairball that's in my throat. I don't see a comparison at all. Rod always sounds as if he can barely hold a note and Steve is just not shellac...but buttah! oh my yes...just like buttah. smooth, liquid and flowing...well, melted buttah and it is nice and warm on my fingertips and i like to lick it off or add it to my cookie batter. but shellac...yikes...that's like smelly and shiny. and buttah can get cold and hard from not being used but once you take it out of the fridge and you let it get warm...watch out...it can be spread everywhere!"
"You should here how we talk"
"ok ladies weve done steves best vocial performance now I know we haveto really reach hard but what is the worst journey/steve song for me its back talk YUCK. otherwise raised on radio was great"
hi, I totally respect everyone's opinion even though esp. on this board in the past..sum were wayyyy out there 2 say the least!!! lol
I luv journey from start to finish old n new fav cd is probably frontiers somedays its evolution it all depends on my mood
for the record I luv augeri ! I luv this line-up and its 2nd alltime to the 1978-1981 (rollie yrs) for me...and its there best singing band now with deen (as smitty couldn't/didnt' sing)
I luved most of the songs on arrival ...thought it was much better release than trial thought there were 5 songs on that cd that I did really dig..
perry, was a great talent...I do feel however, IMHO that augeri , n deen suit the band better ! much...they get along , enjoy each other and arent playing and recording 3 minute pop songs and luv ballads as they did with mr. perry.
just what I prefer, though arrival us version was fantastic!!
red 13 is really good and is what I've been waiting for in songwriting and musicically esp. long drawn out shit great solo's n riffs!! wow!
think this current setlist is the best since 2001 arrival tour (which only featured 3 arrival songs here in "only play me your hits chicago" )
I much prefer a smaller venue (3-10k) as the sound is usually better and they play longer!!
the only thing this writer would change in the band is the addition. of greg rollie in the studio and on the road (at least sumtimes as he's very busy with his projects) when possible!
and more funky, powerful great new music from one of the top 5 bands I've ever heard!! this band is the real deal and I can't wait to hear them if they come back to midwestern IL area! wow, what a fuckin ' setlist!!!!
only a red 13 song would top it off beautifully but, see ya on the road guys and thank you for deen n steve augeri!!!
"I had Steve Perry's name tattooed in my mouth!!"

"YALL ARE BEING TO POLITE. I WOULD BE TOUCHY FEELY, I JUST COULD NOT CONTAIN MYSELF. THEN I WOULD APOLOGIZE AND TRY TO PULL MYSELF TOGETHER TO FIND THE PHONE. OK I'M GOING TO THE GUTTER, BRB. HEHE"

"oh i love the soul patch too, it's sooooooooo teasingly sexy,,i'd rub that baby for him any day!!!!!!! oh,, and if you watch the video of him at the awards,, he laughs at one point to where you see his teeth,,,sigh,,,,, what a pretty smile :)"
After the unfortunate loss of lead singer Steve Perry, (diagnosed with throat cancer) journey needed a new voice at the front of their operation. After many interviews and plenty of time searching, Neal Schon a former coverband singer was hired to fit the role. Surpisingly, his enthusiasm and 80s era voice brought the band back to the glory of its former days.
"Well i can not add anything to this but this.Neal you are and will always be JACKASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So take your sock and leave Perry alone. You just can't let it go can you?You have screwed the name journey forever. No one cares gives a crap about you little ................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................////////////////////////////////////////////////????????????????????????????????????????????Now i feel so much better for having said that."
