We’re actually not, most of the time. We’re poking fun at an image that’s being freakishly revered. And when we do make fun of him...well, c’mon. He’s had his moments just like we all have. We’re mostly making fun of the people who take him too seriously. You either get it, or you don’t. We’re doing him much less harm than the nuts who get together to try and find his house. Those of you feeling offended by anything here had maybe better have a close look at yourselves...and a deep breath, and a beer, and chill out.

We love him...for him. Not for what we can get from him. We don’t think he’s God, that’s all.

No, they’re not, unless you actually took the picture. Unless your beady little eye was on the other side of that shutter, babe, you have no intellectual property rights. Deal. These photos have been all over the place for years. I know you want to pretend you have more than anyone else, and that you believe it gives you some kind of twisted ‘power’ over your list-minions or what have you. But that’s just really sad. I’m sure you can make friends some other way.

It’s amusing. Doomcoven is here to point and laugh at the really stupid and annoying parts of fandom. And, disturbingly, it seems no one else has brought the obsessive scariness of it to the world’s attention before. Plus, if we discover that you’re making some kind of threat towards The Voice (searching for him, stating that you’re going to ‘show everyone who he really is’), we can turn your dumb ass in to the appropriate authorities. Also, we can ‘out’ people plagiarizing fanfic or generally being mean and stingy.

U neeed to lern 2 tipe, IDJIT. Honestly, most of Perry fandom is online these days. Your average means of contact is through email or posting on a list. SO, if your basic means of communication is via a keyboard...it would stand to reason that at least some of you would learn to use it with a minimum level of skill. If you need to look at the board while you’re typing, do it. I know you can No one can take you as seriously as you take yourself until you learn to communicate rationally. Even folks who speak English as a second language do better than the average list member in this fandom.

Now: have fun out there, for goodness’ sake. Stop trying to one-up one another.
